Mombasa Island Tour
Sight-seeing on the Island includes: dhow, harbor and the
old Arab town with it’s maze of narrow twisting alleys,
ancient mosques and old houses with massive curved doors.
It also includes tour of Forty Jesus now a national monument.
Malindi and Gedi Ruins Tour
This excursion takes you to an ancient city, cruising over
the coral gardens with a visit to a snake farm and an African
village.
Shimba Hills Reserve
Drive about 40kms past coconut and cashew nut forested landscape
and other plantations, rising in altitude to give way to a
beautiful topography of tropical forest with refreshing cool
air, to Shimba Hills reserve. The reserve is a home of the
rare sable and roan antelopes among others to be seen during
the game drive.
Explore the reserve within the limited time.
Full Day Malindi & Gedi
0800hrs leave your hotel and drive a stretch of 190kms to
Malindi with a visit at Gede Ruins en route. On arrival, there
is a visit to a snake farm, Falconry and a Giriama village
where you are entertained to a traditional dance. Thereafter,
board a glass bottom boat and cruise in the Malindi Marine
Park and explore the coral gardens.
Lunch at Scorpio Villas to be followed by a short walk to
Vasco Da Gamma's pillar, which is just 10 minutes away.
1530hrs drive past the old Malindi town en route to your hotel
in Mombasa arriving in the early evening.
Dinner Cruise on Tamarind Dhow
Pick up from your hotel at 1830hrs and drive to Tamarind restaurant.
Descend to the Tamarind jetty and be welcomed aboard the Arab
dhow moored opposite the Old Town on Mombasa.
As dusk falls, you will motor slowly towards the Old Harbor
and Fort Jesus sipping something cool….
As the stars start appearing in the sky, dinner is being
prepared by the Tamarind chefs and will be served at your
candle-lit table whilst the dhow is at anchor in the tranquil
waters of Tudor Creek.
The Tamarind is well known for it’s excellent cuisine
and particularly it’s seafood specialties. All the same
you can be offered charcoal grilled fillet steak for a vegetarian.
Reaching a turning point, you start your journey back. Have
a chance to dance under the stars on board the Dhow to the
live band.
Enjoy a delightful, romantic evening (a must for Honeymooners),
centered round a superb four course meal sailing the creek,
where your first Dawa cocktail, dinner, coffee superb service
and entertainment are all included.
Disembark at the jetty ready for your transfer back to hotel.
Full Day Shimoni/Kisite/Wasini (1Day)
In the early morning you depart for a tranquil fishing village
of Shimoni close to Tanzanian border 130km (2 hrs drive) from
Mombasa. The scenic route takes you through lush coconut and
cashew plantations and the colourful villages of the Digo
people.
At Shimoni you board an authentic motorized Lamu Dhow, which
cruise and sail you through an enchanting seascape of islands
to the underwater splendors of the Kisite Marine Park. Here
smokeless will marvel at the incredible variety of marine
life in the shallow and worm waters around Kisite Island,
the venue of numerous birds
Scuba divers can explore a number of excellent dive sites
also teeming with an astounding
variety of marine life, which inhabit the magnificent coral
reefs in and around the park.
A sumptuous Swahili-style seafood lunch then awaits you upon
your return to the restaurant on Wasini Island, after which
you tour the traditional Muslim village, or you may prefer
to simply spend some times relaxing in the sun.
After an unforgettable day on and around the islands, we
return you to your hotel in the late afternoon

– Mombasa By Night
Pickup is from your hotel approx. 1700hrs and drive to Jahazi
marine jetty to board the Dhow. Take a romantic sundowner
Cruise along the shores of the picturesque Island of Mombasa
to starts off an enchanting evening not to be missed.
As darkness sets in, you will dock at a private jetty and
proceed to Fort Jesus. “Arab and Portuguese” men,
bearing Fire torches, guard the entrance of the fort, constructed
by the Portuguese in the 16th century. View a spectacular
30minutes Sound and Light presentation of the turbulent History
of the East African Coast.
The historic mood is kept alive as you dine under the stars
and candlelight, enjoying a sumptuous feast of 5 course dinner
served by waiters in Portuguese attire, with the fortress
walls lit up to provide a magical backdrop to a magnificent
feast.
Following this feast you can return to your hotel.
Tsavo East (1 Day)
Early morning drive 100km inland to Bachuma gate. Enter the
park and view game. Stop at Aruba dam (if there's water) en
route to Voi for lunch. After another game drive return to
Mombasa.
Full Day City Tour, Lunch At Tamarind &
Haller Park (1 Day)
This tour takes you all the interesting places of the Mombasa.
Drive to Akamba Handicraft Centre, a source of products direct
from the craftsmen. Drive back to the island and proceed to
the Hindu temple and have a briefing on their belief as you
walk around. Proceed to the huge and famous Tusks over Moi
Avenue erected in 1952 in honour of Queen Elizabeth II first
visit to Kenya.
Other places to visit include, a drive on Mama Ngina Drive
and see the giant baobab forest that live for about 1000 years,
Fort Jesus, the historic fortress built by the Portuguese
to ward off attacks from the Arabs and a short walk through
the Old Town gives you a chance to a maze of twisting alleyways,
ornately carved doors and overhanging balconies. This ancient
and impressive maze of architectural wonder will bring you
to the Old Dhow Harbour, which is still occasionally used
by Dhows from Arabia and India.
A visit to the Market is recommended for spices at bargaining
prices.
Head for Tamarind and descend the jetty to board the Arab
dhow moored opposite the Old Town on Mombasa and motor slowly
towards the Old Harbour and Fort Jesus sipping something cool….
Lunch will be prepared by the Tamarind chefs and will be
served whilst the dhow is at anchor in the tranquil waters
of Tudor Creek.

1500hrs depart Tamarind and drive to Haller Park past crocodile
farm along the way.
Enjoy the fascinating and world famous Haller Park. From a
wasteland to paradise the story of Haller Park is the miracle
of turning a barren, lunar-type landscape into an ecologically
sustainable wonder. Over the past three decades, quarries
that were previously excavated by Bamburi Cement for cement
production, have now been transformed into a variety of recreational
facilities including forests / nature trails and game sanctuaries,
and crocodile and fish farms.
Here a land once lifeless, now thrives with abundant wildlife
and is home to, amongst other animals, hippo antelope, birds,
reptiles, snakes, giant tortoises, crocodiles and giraffe.
As dusk approaches, board you van and drive back to your hotel.

Full Day Funzi/ Kinazini (1 Day)
Depart your hotel at specified time and drive southwards to
Bodo jetty.
In an Arabian dhow, you sail through Funzi creek passing an
inhabited island and natural mangrove forests.
On Funzi Island you visit the village formerly connected
with the slave trade and it’s surrounding. Having much
to see, you go back to the dhow and proceed in such for dolphins
(not guaranteed) and thereafter head for a unique sandbar,
which emerges from the sea at low tide. Swimming or wandering
over the pure white sands in the middle of the sea will be
your choice.
As lunchtime approaches, you sail back to island of Kinazini
for a delicious barbeque lunch. This will be followed by a
spell of time for relaxing, exploration or a swim before a
cruise back Bodo jetty where your transport awaits you for
a return journey.
Full Day Dolphin Dhow – Sea Adventure
(1 Day)
Pick up from your hotel at specified time – North/South
coast.
Drive to Shimoni, the famous haunt of the Deep Sea Big Game
Fishermen. En route you will see rice fields, cashew nut and
coconut plantations, which form the staple diet of many of
the coastal people today. Set off sailing from Shimoni jetty,
on the coast aboard the sailing Arab dhow, and head around
the eastern edge of Wasini Island, into the beautiful Kisite
Marine Reserve.
Keep your eyes peeled! – you will be in dolphin territory,
an opportunity to watch dolphins. The dhow is teamed with
experts who have carried out research in Bahamas and Western
Australia. For water lovers, be ready with your swimwear,
snorkels and masks to plunge and discover the exciting underwater
world. The place is a meter or two only above the coral reef.
You may be the lucky ones to share this swim with the dolphins.
At lunchtime, your appetites will be quenched with a mouth-watering
Swahili-style seafood lunch, served on board in the shelter
of Mpunguti wa Chini Island. After lunch, it’s time
to explore the island and have a glimpse of the scenic views.
After an adventurous day spotting the dolphins, you sail back
to the jetty leisurely.

City Tour (Stone Town )(½ DAY)
This introductory guided tour of Zanzibar, provides living
evidence of a rich cultural heritage, where Arab, Indian,
Persian and European influences blended with local African
tradition. Historic buildings with elaborately carved wooden
doors, shaded by balconies, loggias and verandas line the
narrow winding streets. The tour include a visit to a Town
Market, Slave Market, National Museum of Zanzibar, High Court
Building, Slave Chambers, Old German Consulate, Afirca House
(former English Club), Tip Tip House, Kelele Square, Old British
Consulate, Orphanage Home, Old Fort, Forodhani Gardens, House
of Wonders, Sultan Palace (now a Museum), Custom House, Old
Dispensary, Old Harbour, etc.
Spice Tour (½ DAY)
This guided tour offers a look at small farms in the rural
area that grow cloves, vanilla, nutmeg, cardamom and other
spices, medicinal and ornamental plants, and tropical fruits.
This tour provide a rare experience to prove why Zanzibar
is referred to as the "Spice Island". It also include
a visit to the Persian Baths build in 1850 by Seyyid Said
bin Sultan (first Sultan of Zanzibar) for his wife Princes
Shehrzard (grand daughter of Fateh Ali Shah of Persia).
Prison Island Tour (½ DAY)
This tour include a visit to the historic Prison Island with
its giant land tortoise. The island was formerly owned by
an Arab and used for confinement of refractory slaves. It
was bought by General Mathews and the jail (goal) which still
stands was build in 1893 and hence the name "PRISON ISLAND".
While on the island you will be able to swim, sunbathe and
snorkel.
Jozani Island Tour (½ DAY)
This guided tour will take you to Jozani natural forest; the
smaller trees and shrubs make several sub canopies under the
highest canopy. You will walk through the nature trail of
the forest which is a habitat for many species of animals,
and birds. It is famous for its Red Colobus Monkey; the rare
specie. The Zanzibar RED COLOBUS has been isolated from its
mainland counterparts for at least ten to fifteen thousand
years, thus producing a distinct sub species with different
calls, eating habits and coat patterns. Jozani Forest has
become the last stronghold in the world for this particular
type of Colobus.
Barefoot Beach Holiday
Kenya’s colourful coral coast is a playground for sun
and sand worshippers! On the pristine white sandy beaches
and unspoiled marine life and coral reef. The beaches south
of Mombasa are referred to as South Coast and those stretching
from Mombasa north to Kilifi are referred to as the North

to Mombasa stop at a local village to watch Giriama dancers.
